Professional Profile


The professional figure absolutely more required by the firms involved in clothes production.

The CAD Pattern-Maker is a key figure for the industrial design and production of fashion items.

CAD Fashion is a course created for people, already having pattern-making competences, wishing to acquire specific skills in the usage of the software mainly used by the companies (Lectra System, thanks to a very exclusive collaboration partnership) and of the tools connected to it.

This learning pathway is organized in two levels with increasing grades of specialization and with the additional opportunity of an internship.

This represents an important step to enter into the business world or an essential skill-updating for people already working in fashion companies.



The exclusive educational agreement among Modartech Institute and Lectra allows our students to practice with their own Lectra latest technologies and Secure Keys troughout their learning pathway.


Learning Pathway


1 – INDUSTRIAL PATTERN MAKING

This is a short course aiming at revising and updating the competences, and at analysing all the aspects necessary to the process of industrialisation from a productive point of view. A short revision of industrial pattern making techniques to assure the effectiveness of the following steps based mainly on computer skills.


2 – COMPUTER BASICS

To be able to properly use the CAD software in all its aspects it is important to feel comfortable with the computer’s usage. Therefore this course appears to be essential to fill potential gaps or to learn the proper or more effective basic computer methodologies.

The CAD basic steps will be object of study to guarantee the entry in the following course.


3 – FASHION CAD

Course aiming at letting the student be independent in the use of the software for paper pattern digitalization, for optimisation of the placing on fabric, for development and filing. The Institute works in strict partnership with Lectra, leader company in CAD for clothing, which provides the software and the relevant tools to the majority of the company working in this sector.

4 – Advanced FASHION CAD

Natural advancement of competences, in this course students will learn further potential of Lectra system as well as “the tricks of the trade”.

Thanks to an exclusive educational agreement with LECTRA, every student will have the chance to do a work experience into a fashion company in many parts of the world.


Training Methodology


Theoretical lessons, workshop, visits to firms

The single course will be carried on by professionals and teachers with a well-established work and teaching experience in this sector.

So their approach will be finalized to provide constantly updated technical competences, which can be helpful in the prompt insertion in working contexts.

The Institute puts at participants’ disposal all the didactical materials in digital format, downloadable from the dedicated section in Modartech portal. At the moment of enrolling each participant will receive a personal password to free access the dedicated section, where all the course related texts, images and video can be found.

With the same password students can also access the self-marketing portal offered by the Institute. Here they can place curricula, profiles and works, being this an auto-promotion instruments which represents a reference point for all the Modartech Group companies looking for trained personnel.

Starting date: Every 3 months or On demand.

Two days a week from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, and Saturday from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.
