Creative Contest “Message on a Bottle”

A student of the Communication Design Course finalist of the competition launched by Labelado to graphic designers and illustrators.

The students of the Communication Design Course are always on the hunt for projectscompetitions and contests to show their creativity with visualdigital and graphic techniques and skills that they learn in class.

The creative talents participated at “Message On a Bottle” contest launched by the online label printing company Labelado on Zooppa, one of the platforms most followed by graphic designers and illustrators.

The challenge was to relaunch the label as a powerful means of transmitting messages by creating 3 labels that convey messages on two topics of great importance, climate change and social diversity.

An exercise in graphic design and copyrighting that saw the students engaged in the creation of graphics and illustrations experimenting with a different means of communication than usual.

The creative talents, once the graphic design was done, printed the labels and made a shooting, photographing the bottles with the creativity of each attached and then working on retouching the images.

Among the proposals sent, that of the student of the Communication Design Course Virginia PedriniICEBEERG was selected.

An illustration linked to the climatic emergency, a simply irresistible play on words and symbols! Virginia has sent three proposals for different labels for materials and colors.

The first one in anti-crush cotton: an ideal paper to embellish high quality products. The second in fully recyclable polished polypropylene, perfect for illuminating colors and making them more brilliant. The third silver metallic ideal for recreating a reflective effect on labels and widely used for beer labels.

Virginia’s graphics were appreciated by the client and immediately included in the shortlist of the 20 finalist works, among which Labelado will select the 6 winning projects that will be officially announced at the end of March and will win the prizes.
