Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award

The Fashion Award: the contest for emerging designers that brings outfits from fashion schools and institutes around the world to the catwalk.

Mittelmoda is the well-known international fashion competition, reserved for designers and students of Fashion Design at universities of art and design from all over the world.

The finalists, evaluated by a jury of companies and professionals, will have the opportunity to show on the Mittelmoda catwalk with their capsule collection, entering as protagonists in the world of fashion.

Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award 28th edition: Modartech among the winners

Camilla Mannini, student of the three-year Fashion Design course, won the “Bags and Shoes Award” at the 28th edition of Mittelmoda, on the occasion of Micam, the main world footwear fair.

With her collection “Under the same sky”, Camilla enchanted the jury made up of companies and professionals in the sector.

The project was born from the designer’s passion for the world of stars, the zodiac and the cosmos, combined with her love for art, drawing inspiration from the painting of “The Vault of Heaven” in the Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola.

The collection is enriched with bags and footwear that fully respect the contemporary soul and minimal aesthetics of the styles of the clothes.

Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award 27th edition: Modartech among the winners

Giulia Ferruzza, student of the three-year Fashion Design course, was proclaimed the winner of the 27th edition of Mittelmoda, during Micam, the world’s leading footwear fair.

The special Lectra “Pattern Maker” prize, designed to enhance the professional growth of young pattern makers, was awarded by a jury chaired by Matteo Marzotto, with the precious support of Carlo Barbieri, Pattern Maker Manager of Twinset, by Maurizio Cazzin, Pattern Maker Manager of the Giorgio Armani maison, and Jacqueline Liger Schulz, Vice President of Marketing & Communication of Lectra in Southern Europe and North Africa.

Giulia, who is currently doing an internship at the Loropiana maison, presented the collection “My Beauty is Mine” which emphasizes deformities, imperfections and aesthetic differences by dressing them with garments with a minimal style. The collection focuses on the careful research of materials and pays attention to the circular economy with the reuse of unused fabrics and leathers from warehouses and artisan companies.

Among the finalists in this prestigious competition is our student of the three-year course in Fashion Design Alma Rinaldelli with her collection “The Land of All”.

The social commitment and the attention to humanitarian issues and environmentalists are reflected in the garments of the collection. The creative proposals bring to light the tragedy of migrants on the Mediterranean Sea routes. Urban style clothing consists of ethnic forms inspired by the Middle East, revisited Africa and South America, raw materials and key elements such as life jackets and thermal towels. The meticulous choice of fabrics is the jewel in the crown of the proposal: natural fabrics such as linen and cotton are mixed with fabrics plus technical like nylon, waxed and coated canvases in a constant play of contrasts between shapes and fabrics. By choosing fabrics at “0 Kms” preferring environmental sustainability.

The student Francesca Guidozzi from the Fashion Design Course is among more than 400 candidates from graduate schools around the world. selected by an international jury chaired by Matteo Marzotto and composed of experts and representatives of important companies in the fashion system.

Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award 23rd edition: Modartech among the winners

The student Daria Locchi, enrolled in the third year of the undergraduate course in Fashion Design, won one of the Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award prizes, the contest for young students and graduates of fashion schools all over the world, whose final took place at the Fiera Milano in Rho.
The young designer has won the Lectra Special Prize for the most innovative total look (characterized by “a touch of red”) offered by the French multinational, one of the major technological partners of the most important fashion companies and fashion at international level, and among the main sponsors of the event. She succeeded thanks to a women’s collection designed for modern “urban riders” and made with hi-tech fabrics and workmanship with high craftsmanship interventions, which was inspired by the 70 years of the Vespa, the Piaggio two-wheeler.

Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award 22nd edition

Istituto Modartech is proud to count among the 26 finalists coming from all over the world, one of the most coveted and internationally known fashion competitions, one of its former students.

Pamela Baldini, graduated in architecture, theatrical costume designer, passionate about art and costume history, she developed her haute couture collection Juliet Morris Couture, as part of the Fashion Design Job Master, the innovative project of Istituto Modartech that accompanies and supports aspiring designers in the launch of their collection on the market.

Pamela was chosen by a jury of industry experts, led by Matteo Marzotto, among the finalists of the 22nd edition of the important international competition for emerging designers and students of Fashion Design.
The young and talented designer has achieved the coveted goal of the final with an interesting project of High Fashion collection inspired by the heroines of art and literature, icons of a timeless femininity, in balance between culture of the past and avant-garde in the section womenswear.

Pamela’s precious clothes have been further enhanced by the creations of Violavinca, a footwear brand that combines the skills and artisan values of a Tuscan company with decades of experience in the production of luxury women’s shoes.
