Two Modartech students’ innovative outfits in the grand final in Verona of the contest promoted by Freudenberg Group.
Sustainability is a driver of innovation in the fashion industry. Sustainability is the theme at the center of the first edition of the Fashioning Sustainability competition promoted by Freudenberg (a leading group in the production of technical materials).
On September 13 two Modartech students of the second-year of Fashion Design – Daniele Adami and Gianmarco Lupi – along with 43 other young designers chosen by an international jury between fashion schools across Europe, will present their creative proposals on the catwalk in Verona for the final award as the best sustainable fashion project.
The contest jury, composed by important designers, opinion leaders and journalists of the fashion system (the president of Antia – Italian Association of professional technicians, fashion system Alberto Gregotti, the journalist of Panorama fashion Antonella Matarrese, Chiara Savoldi RTW Operations Cristiano Zanetti, Sales Director of Freudenberg Pma Italy, Daniela Cattaneo of Hugo Boss, Fabrizio Ruffini of Moncler, Paola Arosio of the National Chamber of Fashion, Stefano Fadda Art Director of Milano Unica and still Francesco Abastante, Quality Control Manager Kering and Ludovico Zandegu of Brooks Bros), invited a selected group of twenty-five European fashion and design schools to participate in the Freudenberg School Project 2018: Fashioning Sustainability.
The competition, which aims to bring talented young designers to meet the European clothing industry, also wants to demonstrate the importance of sustainability in fashion industry.
