The students of the Fashion Design course had to make a mini collection of outerwear inspired by Peuterey’s brief.
Promoting the contact between fashion school and sector companies is the order of the day for Istituto Modartech. For this reason the Institute wanted to launch a new creative challenge aimed at the talents of the Fashion Design course, this time involved in a project work that combines stylistic research, CAD design and pattern making and supported by a cutting-edge industry technology.
There are two major companies involved in the project:
Lectra, a French multinational that implements integrated technological solutions for the fashion, furnishing and automotive industries, always attentive to the use of cutting-edge software for garment design.
Peuterey, an innovative fashion company always looking for excellence in the performance of materials, in the purity of forms and in the functionality of details, capable of maintaining high quality standards over time.
The students of Fashion Design course were asked to create a mini collection of outerwear inspired by Peuterey’s brief.
The attention of the students has focused on the design, the development of the model and the creation of a man and a woman outerwear in feather, smooth outer keeping in mind the soul and the vision of the collections of the fashion brand.
The mood boards, illustrations and technical figures were created thanks to the innovative Lectra Kaledo software, and the models with the Modaris software, a suite used in the courses of the Modartech Institute, while the packaging of the finalists’ clothes was made in house from Peuterey.
