Istituto Modartech houses the library, a space where you can consult numerous highly specialized texts on fashion, communication and design. Also of great interest is the newspaper library, which includes specialized magazines.
The library is an essential organism that contributes to the development of educational and cultural life, at the service of students, teachers, researchers, professionals and scholars in the creative field. Modartech’s objective is to maintain a regular updating and bibliographic increase aimed at supporting the training of highly specialized and professional figures in the world of fashion and communication.
The Modartech Institute Library is part of the Bibliolandia Network, allowing you to access MLOL (Media Library On Line) the digital lending platform with the largest collection of contents for all Italian libraries, where you can consult or borrow books, films , magazines, newspapers.
Modartech’s library heritage is integrated with the collection of texts present in the library “G. Gronchi ” in Pontedera, next to the Institute, with which a Memorandum of Understanding is active aimed, among other initiatives, at creating a Widespread Documentation Center on Creative Disciplines (Art, Fashion, Design). The Library has a book patrimony of 55,000 volumes, 2300 films, periodicals and 4 subscription newspapers, 4 reading and study rooms, 6 internet stations. The Modartech Library counts on 350 thematic texts, exclusively selected for the fields of fashion, design, art, photography, 2 reading rooms, 3 internet stations and the possibility to consult 25 monthly or quarterly sector publications.
