I am Clarissa Brotini, I am 22 years old and I live in Fucecchio a small town in the province of Florence.
After graduating from the Technical Tourism Institute I decided to face a path in the world of Fashion Design.

Fashion has always been my passion, and thanks to the figure of my grandmother, who has always inspired me, I have always had the desire to join a high fashion company. From here my path to the Modartech Institute starts.
After completing my studies in Fashion Design, I had the opportunity to work in the Gucci Research and Development Material department.

How has the experience lived between the classrooms and laboratories of the Modartech Institute contributed to your training and career path?

Thanks to Modartech I participated in events that allowed me to make myself known to high fashion companies such as the Career Day or the Fashion Show.
In addition, I had the opportunity to carry out a curricular internship as a product office assistant for a company in Castelfranco Emilia that works daily with Emporio Armani and Blumarine.

In this context, I met very competent people and I managed to deepen my knowledge on fabrics, patterns, designing a collection and the timing necessary for organizing a fashion show.

Once the internship period ended, I was immediately called to a job interview to hold the position of Research and Development Material in the Gucci leather goods research and product development office and I was hired.

Once you graduated as a young fashion designer, how was your first impact on the world of work?

I have always had work experiences in areas other than the world of fashion, joining this world was exciting but at the same time difficult because there is a lot of competition and the only way to emerge is to show that you have a lot of determination and desire to learn.

What activities do you do in the Gucci Materials Research and Development Office?

In the research and materials office I deal with deliveries, material sheets and archiving.
It is an activity that I like very much because I learn a lot about fabrics, prints and applications on materials that are very different from each other.

Although I have recently held this role, I have learned what it means to work in a team and, although it is tiring, at the same time it is rewarding and very stimulating.

There are people who constantly help me to grow professionally, trust me and take my ideas very seriously, but above all they are always ready to answer my questions.

It is worth trying to join a large family like Gucci because collaborating with competent and specialized professional figures makes you proud of the job you are doing and makes you want to always give your best.

Give advice to young people who are starting their career as fashion designers.

Never give up because even the “no” are constructive, be determined, believe in what you do, but above all always be yourself.
