Modartech returns to Milan to show itself to business through its former students testimony.
This time the appointment is with Milano Unica (from 6 to 8 February), a reference fair for fabrics and accessories for high-end clothing that also sees the participation of Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda schools with the project “Eyes on me”.
Precisely in the context of this special project dedicated to young people, Modartech will have, for the entire duration of the fair, a showcase dedicated to two former students of the Institute who, after the end of the academic process, put into practice the skills acquired and collected valuable experiences.
To represent the wealth of knowledge acquired in Pontedera – a project that is part of the job placement services offered by the institute to guide students towards new opportunities and professional collaborations – there will be Chiara Guglielmi and Daria Locchi, both born in 1994, came out of the three-year course in Fashion Design and with active collaborations with renowned companies such as Armani and Gattinoni.
And if Daria will bring to Milan, in addition to its project portfolio, the “Urban Rider Collection“, a collection inspired by the Vespa Piaggio (wheel icon originating from Pontedera as Modartech) and created by the student for the Fashion Show organized annually by Modartech, Chiara Guglielmi will join the contemporary rider outfits of the “Urban Rider Collection” with some models of the street brand “Aaron Vanke” which she decided to give life to, after gaining experience in companies of the sector.
“I am very happy – explains Chiara Guglielmi – is a wonderful opportunity.
Milano Unica is an important showcase from which thousands of people pass, I hope it brings new contacts. I will also take with me a small sample of Aaron Vanke models that we are preparing for next season”.
“I have always remained in touch with the Istituto Modartech, even after graduation – added Daria Locchi – and I am grateful for this beautiful occasion. I will take with me the collection inspired by Piaggio, which was also recognized during Mittlemoda 2016, the Special Prize Lectra. It’s my lucky charm collection”.
“It is an important showcase – said Alessandro Bertini, director of the Istituto Modartech – both for the alumni, the former students of the school, and for us. It represents an excellent business card, a way to give a tangible sign of the things that kids learn by attending our courses, the baggage they build and that gives them the key to access the world of work from the main door” .
