THE STORY OF EMILIA TORCINI AND GIULIA FERRUZZA, EMERGING TALENTS FROM THE FASHION DESIGN COURSE

The creations of our talents, designed and developed during the Undergraduate Course in Fashion Design , walked the international catwalks of the Milan Fashion Week conquering the top leaders of the Italian fashion system, international experts, stylists and talent scouts. Two important milestones saw our students Emilia Torcini and Giulia Ferruzza as protagonists, awarded with prestigious awards.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE | VOGUE TALENTS AWARD

Fashion Design student Emilia Torcini won the Vogue Talents Award during the 7th edition of Milano Moda Graduate, the international competition promoted by National Chamber of Italian Fashion dedicated to the excellence of Italian fashion schools.

A prestigious award conferred by a jury chaired by Carlo Capasa, president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, and exponents of the fashion system including ETRO, MAX&Co., Fendi, Rinascente, Zegna and Class Editori, delivered by Sara Sozzani Maino, Deputy Editor in Chief Vogue Italia and Head of Vogue Talents, which rewarded the creativity and inclusive values ​​underlying her collection “Disability is not a limit, you are the limit“.

The award includes the launch of an exclusive article dedicated to the student published on Vogue Talents .

On the catwalk of the Museo della Permanente great appreciation also for the slow fashion garments of the emerging designer Sara Giannini, who brought to the stage themes and trends related to the environmental emergency, sustainability and reuse,  with her collection “ARYA“.

 

MITTELMODA | LECTRA “PATTERN MAKER” AWARD

Giulia Ferruzza, student of the three-year Fashion Design course, won the special prize Lectra “Pattern Maker” on the occasion of the 27th edition of Mittelmoda – The Fashion Award, promoted during MICAM, the leading exhibition in the world of footwear and an important international showcase, which saw the participation of over 680 students from 60 countries around the world.

The proposals of the collection “My Beauty is Mine” stood out for the attention to details, the application of technique and modeling in a triumph of research, innovation and technology.

An award for technique and design conferred by the top leaders of the Italian fashion system, including Matteo Marzotto, president of Mittelmoda, Carlo Capasa, president of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, Siro Badon, president of MICAM, Cirillo Marcolin, President of Confindustria Moda, Simone Canclini, President of Italian Textile Foundation and the supporters of the “Pattern Maker Award” attributed to our student and promoted by Lectra with the support of Carlo Barbieri, Pattern Maker Manager of TWINSET, Maurizio Cazzin, Pattern Maker Manager of Giorgio Armani, and Jacqueline Liger, vice president of marketing and communication for South Europe and North America at Lectra.
