The student of the Communication Design course tells us about her professional experience as a copywriter and content creator for an established web agency.

The passion for writing and communication has never abandoned her. During the three-year course of study in Communication Design , academic course for the achievement of the First Level Academic Diploma – Bachelor’s Degree , she has always been at the forefront experimenting the profession of blogger, copywriter and writer on several occasions: we saw her at Altaroma as a blogger of the magazine ” Fashion On Paper “and spokesperson for various project works during the training course.

Today we know closely the experience of Sara Profeti who is currently collaborating as copywriter and content creator for iDNA , a well-established communication agency that boasts in its client portfolio: Samsung , Adidas , Spotify , Audi and Fiat 500 .

My name is Sara, I am 23 years old and I come from Buti (Pisa). I attended the E.Montale high school in Pontedera and I am at the end of the three-year course of Communication Design at the Modartech Institute.
I’ve been writing since I was a little girl and now I intend to make it my job. At the moment I am doing an internship as Copywriter and Content Creator at the communication agency iDNA .

1. Once you have graduated, what prompted you to choose the Modartech Institute?

The Modartech institute struck me for the breath of fresh air in the panorama of post-graduate courses. The three-year course program of Communication Design seemed to me very current and able to provide me with good practical and theoretical knowledge.

2. How was the first impact with the world of work outside the Institute? </ strong>

When I started working a little voice in my head kept telling me that I would never be good enough. I’m silencing her by giving my best in every project, but also by facing mistakes with serenity.

3. How has the experience of the Post Diploma course in Communication Design contributed to your training and career path?

The course, in addition to having trained me on the main communication disciplines, put me in close contact with other talents in this sector.

I believe that relationships are fundamental both on a personal and professional level and along the way I found in my classmates excellent teammates, as well as friends.

Surely, the transversal nature of the subjects addressed helps all of us to have a general idea of the world of communication, which each then declines according to their talent.
For my profession it was really useful to have a good theoretical and practical basis of graphic design , as well as social media management and techniques of storytelling . When we find ourselves collaborating with other professionals, we share practices and knowledge that favor the working relationship.

4. Tell us about your professional experience in the iDNA web agency

Within the iDNA web agency I was immediately welcomed as a full member of the team. I have also linked and collaborated with colleagues who carry out jobs completely different from mine.
In addition, more than once I have been given the opportunity to interface with some of the agency’s clients.

Even the management immediately gave me a lot of confidence, leaving me the opportunity to get involved and experiment. There was also no lack of listening moments in which the staff welcomed my creative ideas without prejudice even though I was entering the world of work for the first time.
As it should be I feel that I still need someone to guide me or correct me, but at the same time I feel lucky because in the agency there is always a collaborator willing to do it. </ p >

During my professional experience in iDNA I can say that the best feeling I have after a brief, when I sit at my desk, in my office and feel part of something big.

5. What advice would you like to give to young people who are entering a career as a copywriter? And what’s the best lesson you’ve learned working from iDNA?

I would like to remind my future colleagues two things: l a first is that companies will ask for more and more specific skills and it is up to us to excel in our work that it will have to be increasingly integrated with new and increasingly powerful digital technologies.

There will be far fewer, but extremely good copywriters in the world, and it’s up to us to make the effort to excel to make our dream come true.

The second is that we are not mere writers, we never were and never will be. We are designers of the word, creatives who express themselves through stories and concepts, in the same way as a graphic designer who uses shapes, colors and fonts. I challenge anyone to make a robot that can do the same.

Working from iDNA I learned many things. Perhaps the most important is, to put it following Gestalt psychology, that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. No matter how capable each of us is, working together and in synergy we always achieve much more.
