From the Heart of Tuscany to Canada, Celebrating Creativity and Italian Style. Istituto Modartech took part in the \u201cModa sotto le stelle<\/em>\u201d Fashion Show at ItalfestMTL<\/strong>, Canada\u2019s leading festival dedicated to Italian culture, now in its 32nd edition.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On Saturday, August 9, in front of an international audience of over half a million visitors, Alice Olivieri<\/strong> and Simone Privitelli<\/strong>, students of the Fashion Design program<\/strong>, presented their capsule collections, expressions of research, innovation, and high craftsmanship.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The collections showcased two complementary visions of contemporary Made in Italy fashion:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWhere\u2019s Dog At?\u201d by Alice Olivieri<\/strong>: a project exploring the emotional bond between humans and their pets, translated into sartorial language. Wool, linen, cashmere, and natural fibers obtained from dog undercoat were crafted using artisanal techniques such as needle felting and fulling, creating garments that convey a new concept of sustainability.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \u201cSkin Diary\u201d by Simone Privitelli<\/strong>: a narrative on the body as a trace of memory, bridging nature and technology. Self-produced latex from Hevea sap, thermochromic fabrics sensitive to touch, and 3D accessories made from recycled rubber compose a collection balancing delicacy and formal simplicity, merging tradition with innovation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/p>\n The students also participated in an educational path enriched with mentoring sessions<\/strong> and a brand lab experience<\/strong> in collaboration with COCHIC<\/strong>, a renowned Canadian maison committed to innovation, sustainability, and timeless elegance.
