Students from the Fashion Design degree program at Istituto Modartech took part in the “Fashion Sustainability Award” contest, promoted by Manteco, a global leader in the field of sustainable textiles.
The challenge engaged young designers in the development of capsule collections based on eco-design principles, emphasizing the use of recycled fabrics and the creative reuse of discarded garments. The outfits, created through a meticulous upcycling process, represented a blend of stylistic innovation, environmental responsibility and market awareness. This hands-on educational experience allowed students to engage with the real dynamics of the fashion industry, encouraging greater environmental consciousness and offering concrete, wearable solutions in response to the challenges of sustainable design.
Among the standout entries were the projects ANASTASIS and SELFEDGE, which received the final award, showcasing the high level of creativity, research, and dedication of the Modartech students.
The projects were presented during the Creative Exhibition “LINK | Tribute to Made in Italy”, the final event of the academic year.
