Crea©tivity celebrates an important milestone: the twentieth edition of the event dedicated to creativity and design will take place on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November in the spaces of the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera. The theme chosen for this year, “Micro & Macro”, invites reflection on the dialogue between detail and overall vision, explored through three main areas: Design x Society, Transport Beyond and Design Tech.
Among the promoters of the initiative, Istituto Modartech will play a leading role in several moments of the event. During the Open Conference, a talk dedicated to Fashion & Hi-Tech will offer a dual perspective on the increasingly close relationship between fashion and technology, highlighting how innovation can redefine aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability in the fashion industry.
The same dialogue between creativity and technology will also define the Modartech exhibition area, where two projects will be showcased: “Aftercode”, developed within the Master’s in Fashion Hi-Tech, and “Engarde”, a collection by Jacopo Fè, student of the Fashion Design course.
“Aftercode” is an accessory that blends tradition and innovation through 3D renderings, while “Engarde” merges fencing and streetwear, featuring Dyneema, handcrafted metallic knitwear, and 3D-printed accessories to create garments that combine technique, elegance and protection.
The event will also feature WorkOut sessions, design workshops dedicated to students, an opportunity to exchange ideas and develop new concepts with the support of senior and junior tutors. Modartech students will actively participate as well, tackling design challenges and mentorship moments leading up to the final awards for the most outstanding projects.
To close the first day, the Crea©tivity Night will offer a moment of networking and sharing in an informal and engaging atmosphere. Among the featured projects, Modartech will present “My Obey”, created by students from the Communication Design degree program: a reinterpretation of Obey’s iconic imagery that combines visual concept, illustration, creative packaging, and digital strategy. It is a tribute to the expressive power of street art and the dialogue between design and rebellion.
Organized by institutions such as the Municipality of Pontedera, Piaggio Foundation, ISIA Florence, Institute of Biorobotics – Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Istituto Modartech, Pont-Tech and MBVision, Crea©tivity 2025 reaffirms its role as a platform for exchange among students, teachers, and professionals. For twenty years, it has celebrated creativity as a driving force that connects ideas, people, and technologies.
