A career in the fashion system is the dream of many young people. However, passion, creativity and talent are not enough to guarantee a future in this sector.

An ad hoc training course is essential in order to acquire specialized technical skills.

Let’s discover together the path in the fashion world of Andrea Sieni, a former student of the Fashion Technology.

1. Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Andrea Sieni, I am 21 years old and for almost a year I have moved to Modena. I work at the product office of Giorgio Armani Operations, more precisely of the line Emerging Armani Exchange Uomo.

It all started about nine months ago when, after finishing the two-year Fashion Technoloy course, Modartech gave me the opportunity to do a 3-month internship that after an extension of three more turned into a contract.

During the course of the day I mainly deal with managing relationships with foreign suppliers and matching them with the needs of designers; from research to the launch of the sample collection, which in my case is the part of T-shirts and Denim.

2. What led you to Istituto Modartech and why did you choose it?

I met Istituto Modartech through friends who had spoken to me very well especially from the point of view of practical teaching.

At the end of my journey I can only confirm those that are not only voices but a true reality.

Modartech gives concrete possibilities to those who want to pursue their dreams, providing an excellent practical and theoretical base through a very close relationship between teachers and students; but also between students and companies thanks to the numerous meetings and workshops that the school organizes.

3. What advice would you give to those who want to pursue a career like yours?

I still don’t feel able to give advice, my path is still very long…
But on the basis of my little experience I believe that a fundamental thing is to succeed in bringing passion, desire to do and ambition even outside of school in itself, in everyday life, trying to cultivate it as much as possible without the fear of failing to succeed.

The career of Andre in the fashion industry is only at the beginning, but we are sure it will be long and full of successes and we at Istituto Modartech make our best wishes for a life full of achievements and satisfactions.
