CFMI Academy 2025: Fashion Incubator Project

A project created to develop innovative and sustainable entrepreneurial ideas in the fashion market.

From vegan fur to AI platforms for fashion: these are the solutions developed by students from Istituto Modartech, selected among the winners of the latest edition of the CFMI Academy. The project, born from the synergy between the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana, Pitti Immagine and UniCredit, led to the creation of the Fashion Incubator Project, supported by Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda ETS and Polimoda as Educational Partners, with the aim of promoting the entrepreneurial ideas of the new generations. The final projects were presented during Pitti Filati 97 in front of an audience of professionals, companies, investors, and the press.

The Modartech teams, composed of students from the Fashion Design and Communication Design degree programs, developed proposals that combine creativity, entrepreneurial vision, and a strong focus on sustainability.

“FurU. Fur Real, It’s Vegan” is a new interpretation of fur, made using regenerated fibers and an innovative technique that recreates the appearance of real fur, while fully respecting ethical and environmental values. “IDERZ. From the Mind to the Line”, on the other hand, is a platform that integrates artificial intelligence and human expertise to support young designers in the creative and production process, offering design consultancy and technical assistance.

These two projects exemplify Modartech’s commitment to training a new generation of creatives, ready to rethink the fashion system through an ethical, innovative, and Made in Italy approach.
