LINK | Tribute to Made in Italy

Modartech celebrates the talent of its students and the excellence of Made in Italy with the end-of-year event

Modartech Institute unveils “LINK | Tribute to Made in Italy”, the highly anticipated end-of-year academic event taking place on Wednesday, June 25, and Thursday, June 26. A tribute to Italian design excellence and the country’s manufacturing districts, the event showcases the ideas and visions of emerging talents from the Fashion Design and Communication Design degree programs.

The title LINK is an invitation to build connections, between languages and visions, tradition and experimentation, local territories and creative expression. The event transforms the academic year’s conclusion into a celebration of collaboration and storytelling, narrating the journey of how an idea becomes a tangible project through a visual, experiential, and hands-on showcase.

At the heart of the event is the Creative Exhibition, a multi-space showcase that highlights and enhances student projects, from fashion collections to communication concepts. Moodboards, graphics, installations, multimedia presentations, and garments come to life through meticulous research on materials, tailoring techniques, sustainability, and visual storytelling.

The Video Area will give voice and visibility to behind-the-scenes processes with the screening of a short film created in collaboration with Poliarte. This documentary-style piece offers a first-hand account of the creative journey, its inspirations, experiments, and results, told directly by the students.

Adding vibrancy to the experience is the Fashion Performance, where fashion and music blend in a dynamic display. Collections will come to life accompanied by original compositions by students from the Teatro alla Scala Academy, creating an immersive experience that merges tailoring with contemporary languages and artistic cross-pollination.

The event will also include awards for the best projects, selected by leading professionals and companies from the fashion and communication industries, underlining the event’s role as a platform for networking and visibility for young creatives.

As per tradition, the event will conclude with the Modartech Party, a festive evening with a DJ set in the scenic setting of Villa Crastan, marking the end of the academic year in style.

The initiative is part of the “Grand Tour AFAM” calendar, a project funded by the PNRR to promote the value and international reach of institutions for Higher Artistic, Musical and Choreutic Education, with the aim of showcasing Italian culture and the distinctiveness of Made in Italy.
