On Wednesday, January 14, Modartech returns to the spotlight in Florence for Pitti Immagine Uomo 109, the prestigious international showcase dedicated to the Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collections. The setting is The Social Hub Florence Lavagnini, which hosts the Creative Exhibition “Mix & Match | The Art of Making.”
The exhibition is organized around four thematic areas: leather, knitwear, natural fabrics and tech materials, which guide the visitor journey and showcase a selection of projects developed by the talents of the Fashion Design degree program, with the support of a network of technical partners. At the core is the art of craftsmanship, understood as a synthesis of technical skill, design thinking, and creative vision.
“Mix & Match | The Art of Making” presents a vision of design as an ongoing dialogue between material, process, and creativity, through an experimental and conscious approach in which materials become an expressive language. Cutting-edge materials and techniques meet in a balance of contrasts and cross-pollinations, shaping a narrative that moves between craftsmanship and sustainability, innovation and technology. The exhibition traces a path between tradition and the future, telling the creative and design process that guides the development of clothing and accessory collections through the eyes of the new generation of designers.
