On Friday 28 November, the Modartech Institute inaugurates the new 2025–26 academic year with a reflection on the value of education as a space for encounter, dialogue, and shared growth.
The ceremony opens with institutional greetings in the presence of Matteo Franconi, Mayor of Pontedera; Riccardo Costagliola, President of the Piaggio Foundation; Alessandro Bertini, Director of the Modartech Institute.
This will be followed by the talk “Creating Community – knowledge, passions, values and connections for collective action”, a moment of encounter between realities that have turned a passion, a value, or a vision into the heart of a community, understood as a space of belonging, exchange, and growth, capable of generating relationships and promoting virtuous networks of collaboration, participation, and social innovation.
Guests include Fabio Calò, fashion communicator and Designer of Unnatural Brand; Silvia Mehmeti, Membership Director at The Social Hub Florence Belfiore; Valeria Zanirato, Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer of TA-DAAN. The meeting will be moderated by Matteo Minà, journalist and Modartech lecturer.
The inauguration thus represents an opportunity for dialogue among creatives, communicators, and professionals, where Modartech students can absorb visions, inspiration, and concrete insights, encouraging exchange and connection with the professional world.
