Milano Moda Graduate

Annual event dedicated to Fashion organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana during the Milan Fashion Week.

Milano Moda Graduate was born with the aim of promoting and celebrating the excellent work of Italian fashion schools and the creative talent of fashion and design students.

Milano Moda Graduate 2023

The student of Fashion Design Chiara Balla won the“CNMI Award” 2023, first prize of Milano Moda Graduate 2023, the contest organized by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion, dedicated to the best talents from fashion schools.

A prestigious award given by an international jury, made up of numerous experts in the fashion sector, who rewarded the creativity and inclusive values underlying his collection “Burrnesh”, inspired by the women of the Balkans who dressed and behaved like men and they were recognized as such by society.

From here was born a collection halfway between tradition and innovation, made with high quality fabrics Italian origin and Casentino cloth, where small details such as handmade prints and embroidery, the result of research and experimentation, are highlighted.

Milano Moda Graduate 2022

Two students from the Fashion Design course were selected as finalists at the Milano Moda Graduate event. The catwalk was held Tuesday 20 September at the same time as Milano Moda Uomo.

Focus on the collections: “The Last Era” by Angelica Sarti, inspired by the geometric and symmetrical shapes of human constructions, however inserting details and processes that they refer to an unstoppable nature that fights the human being; “Design” by Matteo Calandrino, in the special section YKK Italia, main partner of the initiative, characterised by transformable garments: from one head we get two, a sleeve turns into a bag and a scarf into a hood.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2021

The student of Fashion Design Emilia Torcini won the Vogue Talents Award during the 7th edition of Milano Moda Graduate , the international competition promoted by National Chamber of Italian Fashion dedicated to the excellence of Italian fashion schools.

A prestigious award conferred by a jury chaired by Carlo Capasa, president of National Chamber of Italian Fashion and exponents of the fashion system including ETROMAX&CoFendiRinascenteZegna and Class Publishersdelivered by Sara Sozzani Maino, Deputy Editor in Chief Vogue Italia and Head of Vogue Talents, which rewarded the creativity and inclusive values ​​underlying the collection “Disability is not a limit, you are the limit“.

The award includes the launch of an exclusive editorial dedicated to the student published on Vogue Talents.

On the catwalk of the Museo della Permanente, great appreciation also for the slow fashion garments of the emerging designer Sara Giannini, who brought themes and trends to the stage linked to the environmental emergency, sustainability and reuse with its collection “ARYA“.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2020

Istituto Modartech, with the student Giulia Barbieri, won the 6th edition of Milano Moda Graduate.

The young creative, who is finishing her studies in Fashion Design, brought the collection to the catwalk of the Museo della Permanente in Milan “Look Over“ created in the Institute’s laboratories and previewed at Digital Fashion Show.

The collection conquered the international jury chaired by Carlo Capasa, president of National Chamber of Italian Fashion and by important fashion and communication companies including: FerragamoTsumHarper’s BazarLa RinascenteMF FashionETRO, Vogue Talents, Sugar and Penelope.

An applause to Serena Carpita, student of the Fashion Design course, finalist in the YKK Italia section with an outfit from the entirely sustainable collection “Chimney Sweep Shout” revisited with the closing accessories of the Japanese company.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2019

At the event Milano Moda Graduate, in the special section YKK Italia, main partner of the initiative, three female students from the Fashion Design course. The catwalk was held on Friday, June 14 simultaneously with Milano Moda Uomo.
Focus on the collections: “The Land Of All” by Alma Rinaldelli, ethnic forms linked to the tragedy of migrants in the Mediterranean Sea; “Violenza Invisibile” by Jessica di Lupo, a collection against the phenomenon of cyberbullying and composed of college style outfits; “Imperfection Is Perfection” by Cinzia Cerri, garments that enhance physical imperfections through unconventional accessories and outfits with unstructured and asymmetrical shapes.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2016

Modartech attended for the entire duration of the event with a static installation of the “Dynamic Pattern Cutter” collection, which presents the sartorial canvases created during the course Fashion Technology-CAD Apparel Pattern Making, while Wednesday 29 June 2016 at 11.00 the fashion show took place with particular attention to the Creative Project Vespa Style and to the Urban Rider collection, projects dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Vespa Piaggio – icon of the two wheels originating from Pontedera, like Modartech – which saw students’ work in the fields of design and heritage, technology and environmental sustainability. On the catwalk the creations of the students of the courses of Fashion DesignWeb & Graphic Design and Fashion Technology- CAD Apparel Pattern Making.

The two days hosted fashion shows, installations, initiatives and talks with key figures from the Fashion system.

MILANO MODA GRADUATE 2015

During the first edition of Milano Moda Graduate, in collaboration with Piattaforma Sistema Formativo Moda, the spaces of the Triennale were the setting for an installation of clothes and accessories made by the students.

The Milan event saw the presentation of some clothes from the collection created by the students of the Fashion Design course on the theme of robotics, a project created inspired by the Robotics Atelier of the Istituto di BioRobotica della Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna and the creations of the Shoes in Italy-Tecniche per la realizzazione artigianale di calzature Made in Italy, the IFTS project funded by the Tuscany Region.

The works of the students on display at Milano Moda Graduate were presented at LineaPelle in Milan, at Expo 2015, in the area dedicated to Valdera for Expo in Milan and the Creactivity event in Pontedera.
