Modartech at Pitti Uomo with the event “The future made by hand”

Preview of the projects of the Fashion Design students finalists of the CNA Federmoda Competition

Modartech Institute takes center stage once again at Pitti Immagine Uomo 108, one of the most prestigious international events for menswear, with The Future Made by Hand”, an event celebrating the creativity of young designers and the excellence of Made in Italy craftsmanship.

On Thursday, June 19th, at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, within the booth of the brand L’Impermeabile (Central Pavilion, lower level Q/14), a preview will be presented featuring the projects of two Modartech students from the Fashion Design degree course. These students are finalists in the 35th edition of the National Fashion Profession Young Designers Competition – RMI 2025, promoted by CNA Federmoda with the aim of highlighting young talent.

The showcased garments will be competing in the “Apparel – Knitwear” category. Luigi Maggiorelli, with his project Nostalgia, presents a collection that blends the retro style of vintage soccer jerseys with the aesthetics of Granpa core and Bloke core, reinterpreting sportswear through artisanal techniques such as needle punching, spray painting, and manual weaving. Federica Siragusa, with her project Aquaboutique, offers a visionary concept inspired by Hokusai’s universe, combining manga, marine elements, and robotic influences into garments crafted with graphic inlays and handmade crochet techniques.

The preview of Modartech’s projects at Pitti Uomo 108 serves as a tangible example of how education, industry and design culture can interact in a virtuous way. It’s a valuable opportunity for students to engage with the fashion system and a chance to reaffirm the importance of an approach that merges craftsmanship, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail, in step with market evolution.
