Interview with Chiara Balla

From the classrooms of the Fashion Design degree course to the internship at Peuterey, a famous brand specializing in outerwear clothing.

From the province of Pisa to the most important international fashion catwalks. It is the tale of Chiara Balla, a young 22-year-old fashion designer originally from Capannoli. Her outfits were noticed and appreciated by professionals, who decided to include her among the 7 finalists for the Fashion Design area of Milano Moda Graduate 2023, event organized by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion which is held during Fashion Week, dedicated to the excellence of fashion schools.

Chiara’s talent also won over Peuterey, a clothing brand specializing in outerwear, which later decided to develop a collaboration by inserting her in the modeling, prototyping and product development office.

by her Her collection “ Burrnesh” is inspired by the women of the Balkans who dressed (and behaved) like men; hence a proposal halfway between tradition and innovation was born, made with fabrics of Italian origin and Casentino cloth, where small details such as handmade prints and embroidery are highlighted, the result of research and experimentation.
