MIUR authorizes Istituto Modartech to release 1st Level Academic Titles

Istituto Modartech of Pontedera is authorized by the MIUR, Ministry of Education, University and Research to issue 1st Level Academic Degrees in the AFAM sector – Higher Artistic, Musical and Coreutic Education.

The school, the only one devoted to training in the fields of fashion and communication located on the Tuscan territory that leads from the coast to Florence, has announced the prestigious award that gives the Institute a new authority. Leading the three-year course in Fashion Design, always one of the flagships of the educational offer of the Institute, a study plan divided into 180 Academic Training Credits, which offers students a path of high education after the achievement of high school diploma.

“For an institute that works in undergraduate training, the most important recognition can only come from the MIUR – explains Alessandro Bertini, Modartech director -. A careful and timely evaluation, which took place first in the ministry’s offices, then at the Modartech headquarters, brought out the educational, logistic and technological quality of the school, which after many years of training and dialogue with companies are pleased to be able to offer their students the first three-year course to obtain the 1st level Academic Diploma, what for the university world is represented by the first level degree “.

Istituto Modartech thus represents today a reality of recognized excellence in the national academic scene, located in a strategic position, an area full of companies that produce clothing and accessories, including the leather industry, research and technology transfer agencies, Hi-tech and web-oriented reality, all sharing the attention to sustainability and the uniqueness of Made in Italy.

Dialogue and collaboration with the Tuscany Region, the Municipality of Pontedera, the Istituto of Biorobotica Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, the Piaggio Foundation, the G. Gronchi Municipal Library, the companies and other partners involved, as well as the international awards and high employment rates, have been recognized by the inspectors of the ANVUR (University and Research System Evaluation Agency) and have had, together with the quality of teaching and teaching staff, a key role in achieving this goal.
