The Communication Design course accredited by MUR

From this year the three-year course in communication will be equivalent to a first level degree.

Istituto Modartech has obtained recognition from the Ministry of University and Research for the issue of the First Level Academic Diploma – Three-year Degree for Post Diploma  Communication Design course starting from the 2020/2021 academic year. The MUR authorization arrived a few days after the first degree session in Fashion Design, the first path to be equated with a first level degree. With this further recognition, Istituto Modartech can issue two academic qualifications: in Fashion Design and in Communication Design. The accreditation of the three-year course in Communication Design was released starting from the current year, which means that students who enrolled this year will already be able to leave the School with an academic qualification in their pocket. The study plan of the Communication Design course is divided into 180 University Credits, and develops visual, digital and creative skills: from communication mechanisms to the most innovative marketing, graphics and web design tools, training creative and design professionals. The strong point of the course is the Modartech method which has always brought theory and practice into synergy, creating a mix between scientific and laboratory approaches, also through a dense network of collaborations with local companies and research bodies and technology transfer, hi-tech and web oriented reality. A network built over the years which today involves over 700 companies. Dialogue and collaboration with institutions, first of all the Municipality of Pontedera and the Tuscany Region, academic excellences such as the BioRobotics Institute of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, and cultural ones such as the Piaggio Foundation, the G. Gronchi Municipal Library, as well as the relationships established with companies and other partners involved, the services provided to support students and the high employment rates, have been recognized by the MUR and ANVUR and have played a key role in achieving this goal, together with the proposal teaching and the excellence of the teaching staff.

“A recognition – declares Alessandro Bertini, Director of Istituto Modartech – which confirms the strategic vision of the institute which is increasingly committed to the integration of digital skills combined with design experiences. In a job market constantly looking for experts in communication, graphics and new media, the course will be able to provide concrete and contemporary answers while looking to the future. A future that will see increasingly prepared young professionals as protagonists, from a technical but also cultural point of view. In this sense, the academic path represents an important educational evolution, a winning combination that combines the laboratory and theoretical-practical approach with a cultural in-depth study aimed at research and the personal growth of each student. Investments in technologies, the presence of highly qualified teachers and partnerships with companies in the sector thus complete the picture which represents great value for our students”.

“The city is truly proud of the new recognition of the academic level attributed to Modartech’s high-level training. A result – adds Matteo Franconi, Mayor of the Municipality of Pontedera – which rewards a reality of excellence in the our territory, but at the same time rewards the collaborative logic that the municipality has been pursuing for many years to increasingly make Pontedera a city of human capital, a hub of research, innovation, art, creativity and culture.< /p>

An important milestone and a formidable stimulus to launch further projects capable of developing the identity of the city of the Vespa, linked to work, industriousness and manufacturing in the new era of opportunities and scenarios connected to industry 4.0, fashion and design. In the belief that governing and not undergoing the processes linked to change is the only way to facilitate the sustainability and development of our future by participating in the construction of a world that we must imagine tailored to the expectations of our young people and our children”

“Today’s is an important new recognition – underlines Antonio Mazzeo, President of the Tuscany Region Council – which Modartech adds to that of a few days ago when it celebrated its first thesis discussions in the fashion field.

Thanks to the recognition of the 1st level Academic Diploma by the MIUR for the three-year course in Communication Design, the Institute will be able to enhance young talents in a further context linked to creative disciplines.

Step by step this reality is growing more and more, becoming a virtuous example at a regional level both for guaranteeing quality training and for offering professional opportunities capable of guaranteeing a future for students and their families. We want Tuscany to be increasingly a land of opportunities and attraction for young talents and projects like this go exactly in the direction of the region we want to build for our children and future generations”.
