ECHEC ET MAT
The “Échec et mat” collection is inspired by Holland in the 1600s and its so-called Baroque period, also known as the Dutch golden period.
Crochet, brocade and velvet were the trendy fabrics of the time and come back to life in the collection of Alessia Fontana who wanted to pay homage to the Art that is life, and to the life that is Art. The amiability of the garments is in the precious details: tea-dyed fabrics and beaded embroidery alternating with the blossoming of crochet flowers.
